"Shore Excursions in Italy" is a fully licensed limousine Company, based in Rome, operating all around Italy and does not provide hotel reservations, tickets purchase or anything else not stated in this Site. It is a N.C.C. limo company providing sightseeing tours and driving services, respecting the law n.21 of January 15th 1992 about the "Noleggio con conducente" (Car hire with driver).

Terms and Conditions

To book your Excursion please send us an e mail entering our "Contact us" page and pay a deposit (Pay Pal / Credit Card Commissions Free).

We will confirm it with a confirmation number and pick up details. We usually reply during day time, almost immediately so if you do not receive our reply soon, please check your "Spam Box" to see if it is there. If not, send your request again please!

The tour balance will be paid cash to the driver, at the end of it or you can prepay the whole amount by Pay Pal Account or Credit Card, at the reservation time, adding 5% Pay Pal / Credit Card commissions, clicking on the "BUY NOW" Link (Upper left side using a Pc / Lap Top or at the bottom of any of our pages, using a smartphone) or scanning the QR Pay Pal Code, filling in the form with your name, the amount and paying for it (Full Refund of deposit or pre-payment for cancellations received until 24 hrs prior the tour, net of 5% Pay Pal / Credit Card Commissions, in case of pre-payments).

Monica helped me organize 5 day tours in Italy during a recent cruise and all were excellent. We had the same guide, Federico, for tours from Naples, Rome and Livorno. While my wife and I had been to all of these ports a number of times before, we were traveling with two other couples who were enjoying their first trip to Italy. I wanted to be sure they could experience our favorite places and Monica allowed us to customize our tours. For example, when we docked in Livorno the first time, I wanted to drive first to Florence to see the Duomo then walk across the Ponte Vecchio to a favorite restaurant, Quattro Leoni, for lunch then on to a visit of the town of San Gimignano for a walking tour and finally back to the ship. It worked exactly as I'd planned. Monica even made the lunch reservation for us. In Rome, we were able to take a tour of the Colosseum, the Catacombs, visit the magnificent Pantheon, the Trevi Fountain, the Vatican Museum, the Sistine Chapel, St. Peter's Basilica and return to the ship in plenty of time for our departure. Monica arranged for private guides for the Sistine Chapel and for Pompeii when we were in Naples. We were scheduled to make a second port call in Livorno later in the cruise and the plan was for Federico to take us to Pisa for the Leaning Tower and on to Lucca for a tour and lunch. While sailing toward Livorno the captain informed us that due to weather we would not be docking in Livorno but would instead dock at La Spezia, a considerable distance to the north. I made a call to Federico to inform him of that and thought our visit to Pisa and Lucca would have to be cancelled. Federico texted me back that it would be impossible for him to get to La Spezia but that Monica was working on it. Some time thereafter I received an email from Monica that she had arranged for another guide, Giuliano, to meet us at La Spezia and take us to Pisa and Lucca. While in Lucca, Giuliano recommended an excellent restaurant for lunch.

All our tours were in an eight passenger Mercedes van which was very comfortable for the 6 of us. If you are planning any tours in Italy, put yourself in Monica's capable hands and you will have an excellent experience.

What a great company!
Initially, Monica helped us to define the order of our tour of Pompeii, Positano and Sorrento to suit our group. They then accepted a change in our numbers with a few days notice due to an illness and also reduced the cost accordingly, without us even asking.
After disembarking our Cruise, we were met as promised by Carlo our driver, led to an immaculate Mercedes minibus and our tour began.
Carlo gave us a wonderful commentary as we approached Pompeii where we had over two hours to explore at our own pace.
Next on to Positano, which we got to by being driven very smoothly and safely along the beautiful winding roads of the Amalfi Coast. Again we had just short of two hours to explore and grab lunch before heading off to our final destination of Sorrento for an explore/shop and then finally, even with heavy traffic we got back to the Cruise port with time to spare.
Carlo was great company, professional, knowledgeable and takes a good photo.

A perfect day in southern Tuscany with wine, of course

It was one of the best days of our lengthy vacation. 8 of us hopped in the van at 8 am, leaving behind the rainy port city. The drive north was stunning and the sun broke through when we reached Pitigliano - a gem of a city perched on the mountainside. We visited a wine shop and two lovely wineries, including a tour of an ancient vineyard. HIGHLY recommend. Oct 24th, 2019

ORVIETO AND CIVITA DI BAGNOREGIO TOUR

Fabulous day and wonderful tour and service. Thank you Monica for such a great day. Arrived on Norwegian Epic, our driver was waiting for us. First stop was Civita Di Bagnoregio. Great views on the walk over the bridge, such an interesting village. Orvieto is truly an amazing place and the driver selected a great restaurant for lunch.....wine....olive oil......Not nearly as crowded as Rome, and a great alternative.

We just wanted to write and say thank you for organising the brilliant trip we had to Pisa and Florence. Before we arrived, you answered all our queries so quickly and suggested things we had not thought of. Laura, our guide, was excellent!!! Laura was waiting for us when our ship docked. She was so friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating that she really made the trip different, on what was a busy, hot day in Florence. We were able to see parts of Florence we had not seen before and Laura was very amenable to allowing us to say where we wanted to see. Because of a disability for one our party, Laura even managed to allow us to stop off at an organic Tuscan farm which was brilliant as we bought some produce and some wine to take home. Laura later returned us right to the gangway at our ship in Livorno after Florence. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend your company to friends and fellow travellers. Thanks again for making it a memorable fantastic day.
